10 Minutes with Kate Duffy
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? WHAT A TREMENDOUS JOY IT WAS IMPROVISING “10 Minutes With Kate Duffy!!!” Thanks to Robin Bidstrup DePaolis for the suggestion “True blue.” Stick around after as we talk about how Kate got into improv, how I got into improv, how we met, why neither of us drink, The Players Workshop, the dirty, golden time of improv, playing with amazing people, wondering what being an adult is supposed to be, putting yourself into your writing, her successs in one of the few improv couples that stayed together, her amazing group Triumph which features Amanda Blake Davis, Celeste Pechous and Jaime Moyer, role reversal with parents and more. Kate is amazing. She is so talented and one of those underrated improvisors. She just excels in character work and finding the fun all the time. She delivers so consistently and is a joy to both play with and watch. In this scene, she gives so many gifts and makes me look so good. I absolutely love throwing things out and someone latches onto it and boy oh boy, she does. She takes everything as a gift and this scene could’ve continued for a very long time. I can’t wait to play with her again! She is just the best.
