10 Minutes with Mithra Vankipuram Today Improv

YEAHHHHHH!!!! SO MUCH FUN IMPROVISING “10 Minutes with Mithra Vankipuram!!!” Thanks to the Mayor of Improv Mark Turpin for the suggestion “Climbing buddies.” Stick around after as we talk about how working what’s happening, using negative emotions in scenes, that out of body feeling in scenes, being sensorially responsive, the performer vs architect, strategic vs tactical thinking, why teaching sometimes seems like performing, why Mithra isn’t teaching improv right now, being in love with improv and more. Mithra is such an interesting improvisor and makes so many strong and unique choices. I just loved improvising this scene and staying as present as possible, living through the experience of just being. It was fun to discover what was happening rather than plan what was happening and playing with Mithra is all about the fun discoveries! Follow her on Facebook, on IG @m1thra and check out her next ventures with CounterPulse and “Network” with Djerassi Resident Artists Program.
