TheArtOfYes: Episode 15 – Interview With Per Gottfredsson

Per Gottfredsson was born in Öland, an island in the south of Sweden. He has worked with Stockholm Improv Theatre since 1993 as an improviser, director and teacher where he is one of the three artistic leaders. Per has been a driving force in the theatre’s work to create performances based on the style of famous Swedish dramatist such as Ingmar Bergman, August Strindberg and Lars Norén. He is a well known Swedish improviser famous for he´s presence in the dramatic scenes. Per has been a guest teacher at the theatre academy in Helsinki and at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. He’s given workshops in Slovenia, Hungary, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Norway, Italy, Germany, USA, Finland, Switzerland, Zimbabwe and Austria and he was the captain of the team that represented Sweden in “Theatersport World Cup 2006” in Germany. He is one of the actors in the improvised movie “Should I Stay or Should I Go”. The movie had premiere in Berlin in June 2015. Since that moment Per is a proud member of the international improv group Orcas Island Project. The leader of the group is Randy Dixon who also is the leader of Unexpected productions in Seattle. Per is the artistic leader of DIG – Stockholm Impro Festival. In Dig- Festival improvisers from all over the world get invited to teach or participate at workshops. Per is one of the improvisers in the project OUR – LIVES that is a European impro project financed by EU.
