10 Minutes with Chris Griswold
Today Improv
WHAT AN AMAZING TRIP AND JOYFUL RIDE IT WAS IMPROVISING “10 Minutes with Chris Griswold.” Thanks to Jayant Chopra for the suggestion “Zebra’s new color.” Stick around before and after as we talk about how Chris got into improv, the early days of improv in NY, learning there isn’t one day to improvise, teaching one thing but doing something different, why improv isn’t a meritocracy, his experience at UCB, why there isn’t such a thing as good/bad or right/wrong, letting go of control more. Chris is so fun to play with and can play many different styles. I loved in this scene how we talked about many things that friends would talk about plus, there was a great ending to the scene. You can tell he is skilled and experienced but still having fun. Nothing throws him at all and I love that he picked up on so many small things and they became big deals. It was just a joy!
