10 Minutes with Phil Whelans Today Improv

YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!! WHAT A FUN JOYRIDE IT WAS IMPROVISING “10 Minutes with Phil Whelans!!!” Thanks to Michelle J. Gilliam for the suggestion of “Engine.” Stick around after as we talk about how Phil got into impro, doing 45 minute games of Freeze Tag, physicality in improv, improvising on the West End in London, how we met, narrative improv and more. Phil is so fun, so skilled and I love playing with him. I love talking with him off stage as well. He’s a great performer, teacher and writer and is so talented. This scene was so fun and a good example of taking the silly very seriously. He is so supportive and can take the smallest thing and explore it to its fullest before moving on. You are in great hands with Phil as a scene partner! Follow him on Facebook, like and follow his group Grand Theft Impro (grandtheftimpro.com) and follow him on Twitter @philWhleans.
