Improvcast: Briane Goodrum

From the dynamic Chicago comedy show Ebony Essence Jet Briane Goodrum joins us this week to talk about her life in improvisation and leaving the snow for the sunshine of California.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Briané began pursuing a career in writing. Her aspiration to succeed in the field led her to train at The Second City Training Center, where she interned and completed the Writing and Conservatory programs. 

While attending The Second City Training Center Briané discovered her love for the art of improvisational and performing and has since performed improv and sketch comedy across the Chicago area. When she is not on stage she enjoys blogging, filming and editing. She is one of the founding members of the improv group Ebony Essence Jet, has directed and been a finalist in the Mary Scruggs Festival for Women Festival and is currently working on producing her own web series.
